Hull & East Yorkshire NHS Trust Use Traqa Intelligence for Linen Management

The Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the top five largest healthcare trusts in England, providing acute care for a local population of 600,000. In addition the trust is responsible for delivering tertiary health services to over 1.2 million people in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The trust started using the new modern Clematis [Traqa Intelligence] system in March 2016. Commenting on the deployment, David Stothard, Facilities Manager, Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Hull Royal Infirmary, said:

"The linen service at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is based over two sites so some of the new features have enabled us to analyse the costings and figures more accurately and efficiently.

"The ability to probe the figures and compare usage and costs against previous months or years is extremely helpful when planning budgets and activities. One really good feature is that the price of the linen can be changed during the year and not affect the original price and costings already in the system.

"The amount of the reports available in tabular or graph form is virtually endless. The ability to produce invoices for items to be recharged has really helped the finance teams. Even though this is now a managed cloud based service, requests for changes or corrections are straight forward and carried out efficiently.

"All the linen staff have found the system extremely easy to use and [it] has encouraged them to use e-mail and other software packages more regularly."
